About Sonia

I've worked in human services, direct personal care or supporting a family with the care needs of seniors or children, for most of my working life. My lifelong friend is blind, and so I have a keen understanding of challenges faced by some people. I approach caregiving with compassion and patience, I have a spot-free background and driving history. I love animals and the outdoors, eating healthy and exercising , and helping others in simple but impactful ways. I'm an excellent listener having done customer service for an insurance agency, food establishments, catering companies, and in service to others with disabilities. Since 2010 I have been a teacher's aid in college art classrooms around the Bay Area. My favorite jobs have been outdoors, where I can support and perhaps expand one's comfort in and curiosity of the natural world. I am strong and supportive in however I can show up for you and your loved ones.
