About Shelley

I love working with seniors & their families. I am an RN at Roper Hospital in Mt Pleasant, SC, on a general med-surg floor. I work with a max of 5 patients a day, making sure all their ADLS are met providing them with dignity to feel as independent as possible while maintaining their safety. Safety is my primary concern. I have worked here for almost three years. Prior to nursing, I was a certified medical assistant for an ophthalmologist at Carolina Eye Care with Dr. Kerry Solomon, where I worked for three years before attending nursing school for two years. I currently have 2 Associates degrees in Health Science & 4 classes away from my BSN in nursing. I will continue my career to get my MSN in Nursing Education. I genuinely enjoy helping others and caring for the geriatric population. I work well under pressure/ multitasking/ with great critical thinking skills/ & knowing when to seek knowledgeable resources I have at hand when guidance is needed
