I have several years experience working with the mentally and physically disabled in a group home setting which gave me the chance to build relationships with families and residents on individual basis treating each person differently according to what they liked and didn't like. However the last 3 years I have worked primarily in private homes with end-of-life care for hospice patients which I have truly enjoyed being able just to reassure the person I'm caring for that they are okay and that they are loved and that they are safe and that I always have a hand for them to hold and that really reassures them and keeps them calm which is my main goal. I understand that families get busy and can't always be there for their loved ones and I want the loved ones understand and know that I am there and truly care for them and will do the best of my ability to keep them comfortable and happy .
