About Sandy

I mainly have experience working with individuals with disabilities and have cared for individuals in their 60's and 70's in a day-hab setting. I have cared for adults with disabilities one on one typically in their 20's. I have experience with feeding tubes, incontinence, feeding protocols and dysphagia, lifting and assisting individuals with their hygiene. I am an extremely caring person with a high level of patience. I have had individuals spit, punch and throw bodily fluids at me while working with them but I can separate their need for care from their actions and deal quite well with those types of situations as well as crisis situations. I currently am in a management position but the majority of my clients spend their day in my office because they enjoy talking with me and I never hesitate to assist them in whatever they need.
