In addition to having a few clients who have now passed on and having volunteered at Landis Homes over the past 10 years as a friendly visitor and hospice care caregiver, I am very comfortable being with seniors and assisting them in anyway I can as a Companion. I've always enjoyed being with seniors and have a good listening ear. Having them share their stories, and comforting them when they are stressed or worried are are skills that I have learned to handle well. I am patient and kind especially if someone is having a bad day. My biggest joy is to see them happy and content after the workday is over. It is a honor to work and care for seniors as they still have so much to give.
