GHOSTED Upon receiving application from Ronnae, I advised her that the hours she had available were not hours we needed help, and I thanked her for her application. She responded quickly, saying her schedule had changed, and sent me her phone number. I called her and we discussed the details of what we were looking for and what hours she was available. She seemed enthusiastic and said she was definitely "still" interested. It was a holiday weekend, Monday, Sept 3, so I asked if she would be available to come by before my sister left town that day, but told her if she couldn't it was no big deal, we'd arrange it for another day. She said she could come at 2:30 and would text me to confirm beforehand. I didn't hear anything prior to 2:30, so I texted her at 3:30 saying I assumed she had gotten busy and asked if she wanted to come another day to meet my mother. No response. In case or child had her phone again, I also sent a message via care.com. No response. I sent a second message via care.com. As of Thursday, Sept 7, no response. Be professional and advise people you've spoken with if you're no longer interested. It's not a big deal, nobody cares. Ghosting someone, however, is highly unprofessional.
