Hello! My name is Rebecca and I am a 26-year-old nursing student at Ocean County College. I have several years of personal experience taking care of my great grandmother at home after she had a stroke and was also affected by severe dementia. I also have professional experience working as a nurse's aid on a Stroke/Neuro floor and other geriatric units. Aside from my education and clinical experience, I am extremely caring and compassionate for the elderly. I have been working in this field since I was 14, where I started at a nursing home. Having to care for my own family member at home gives me that personal perspective when I take care of anyone, young or old. They become my own family. I am able to help bathe patients, clean the home, light cooking, errands or simply be a companion. CPR/First aid certified. I am available for part time weekday hours.
