I started care-giving in 1999 for a 6 bed facility taking care of disabled adults. I later went to school for medical assisting. I learned dosage calculations vitals and CPR phlebotomy techniques and front and back office procedures. I quickly realized that I missed the 1 on 1 time with the clients and began care giving again in 2007. I've worked with clients that we're on hospice, have dementia Alzheimer's, cancer, diabetes, Al's, Alzheimer's and many other health conditions. I've also worked with clients that use gait belts, Hoyer lifts and prosthetic. Care giving is very rewarding, you are able to see improvements not only physically but emotionally. I love this work that's why I had to come back. I have a current CPR and First aid certification.
