About 6 years ago, I came in contact with a woman who needed assistance caring for her elderly mother during the day. I was initially just a second set of hands helping out with whatever was needed. As time went on, I became a full-time caregiver, as her daughter was at work full-time and it was becoming impossible for her to care for herself all day. My duties then turned into things such as meal preparation, bathing, ensuring that she took her medicines daily, and companionship (talking, spending time, doing puzzles, etc.). I am now living in Plattsburgh and would love to be of assistance to another family in this way!
