About Mirna

Being a good listener has helped me to best assist the elderly. I believe that is not enough to just perform the day to day responsibilities of a care giver. In my seven years of caring for the elderly, I have learned to listen well to them, so that I can meet their needs. Besides listening, I have developed good communication skills to connect well with the person. In my experiences, having the ability to express my thoughts and feelings about topics that interest the elderly have enable me to relate to them and develop a healthy relationship with them. Being a good listener, and a good communicator have led me to also be a good observer. Through observation, I have been able to make sound judgement of how the person is feeling. I have been able to read facial gestures and know when the person is in an unpleasant mood and physically hurting. Besides these skills, I can honestly say that I do my best to be a genuine caring person. I strive to be true and show respect.
