My official paid experience has been in childcare, such as nannying, babysitting, being a behavioral technician (working with autistic children), and being a tutor. I have had years of community service, typically servicing the elderly community, such as assistance in senior living facilities providing companionship and working with the American Red Cross (which I am secretary of the Xavier club) to install and check smoke detectors for those that may not be able to or forgot. My experience with American Red Cross was eye-opening in; that many older people asked us to do other little things around the house (we weren't supposed to, but changing a lightbulb takes 30 seconds, and the same ladder we used for the alarms) and families of the elderly were so happy that someone came by to check for their loved ones.
