About Melissa

When I was obtaining my undergraduate degree, I worked in many group home facilities with elderly adults with developmental disabilities. As my grandparents aged, I took on the role of a part-time caretaker. I would drop by their house a few times a week to help them with chores that were getting harder, help set up their medications for the week, help with personal hygiene tasks like nail and toenail clippings, clean the areas that were getting more challenging to reach and also worked with them to make slight modifications to their environment that could minimize falls and other hazards.
