For 3 years I helped take care of my great grandma who suffered from Alzheimer disease. Last summer was my first experience taking care of a senior who was not a family member. It was a wonderful and enlightening experience that helped me realize that I have a passion for care taking. This job required me to care take for an 85-year-old woman. Some of my responsibilities were to keep her company by reading books to her, and doing other fun activities together. I also would help her clean around the house and put away laundry. In addition I would help her run errands such as food shopping and taking her to doctor and hair appointments. This was such an uplifting experience for me, and I am looking forward to finding another opportunity similar to my previous one.
