I have earned my experiences right after I finished my CNA. I worked in a Convalescent Homes , Acute Nursing Facility, Hospitals and One on one Care/ Companion care. Working in the convalescent/nursing home with 125 beds , I have to take care of 6- 7 patients , 3 of which is a total care that includes a Hoyer lift. Most of the cases that I handle is with MS(multiple sclerosis) Parkinson Dementia , Alzheimer's, Hospice, Stroke, Hospice and Diabetes. I worked with that company for a year and, moved to an Acute Nursing Facility. Here, I took care of patient recovering from strokes, surgeries, urgent medical conditions, severe injuries and episodes of illness. I then move myself up working in the hospital's which I gain more experiences. I worked in different units such as oncology, telemetry, psych ward, and med- surge. Until I was offered to worked in to a one on one care or companion care. My patient had a stroke, paralyzed with speech impaired and took care of her for years.
