About Maya

I am passionate about making connections with elders and honoring their lives and experiences. I have worked as a paid caregiver for 1 year, but I have several years of experience working with and supporting the elders in my life. I love cooking and cleaning, listening to stories, and spending time outdoors with my clients. As a queer person of color, I care deeply about supporting my community. Outside of caregiving, I work as a homeschool teacher and in food service. While I have mostly worked in dementia care, I am very adaptable and willing to shift my care to support the daily needs of my client. Covid consciousness is very important to me, and I always wear a quality mask to protect my clients from illness. I hope to build a caring and supportive relationship with all of my clients and their families.
