The reason why I am very passionate about care-giving is because of my mother-in-law. She was diagnosed with lung cancer and I started taking care of her every day tasks such as cleaning, cooking, bathing, and transportation. After she passed away, I realized that care giving was something I enjoyed. I have all the qualities that make for a good caregiver. I am very patient, responsible, and, most importantly, trustworthy. I've also come to understand that one of the most important things in care giving is having compassion, and I believe I have that.

We were so fortunate to have found Martha. After hiring a number of caregivers over the years, I can truly say she is the BEST! She cared for my father as he transitioned into needing more physical and emotional support and then hospice. She was knowledgeable every step of the way when it came to his health, medications, bathing and changing. She provided grace and dignity for my father when it was difficult for him to admit that he needed help. She also allowed me a reprieve as I was able to trust her with everything important to me. Martha takes her job very seriously and understood my fathers needs; suggested products/devices that worked and never left his side when he was a fall risk. She catches on quickly with information and focuses on her job (not on her cell phone; like many others). When my father was passing away, I was lucky to have her by his side (and my side) knowing there was someone with experience and calm. Anyone able to hire Martha for a parent is truly lucky. We'll miss her but will keep in touch!
