About Mariya

Senior Care: As a third-year medical student taking a gap year, I have experience working with older adults in a clinical setting, not only outpatient but also inpatient. Having worked as a clinical research assistant at an inpatient psychiatric institute, I also have experience in the mental health realm. Some of my most meaningful experiences on rotations have been working with older adults; I hope to pursue geriatrics and/or palliative care, and given my passion for working with this population, I would love to gain more experience! Child Care: In my pediatrics rotation, I've provided medical care for newborns, infants, and older kids, including those with autism and ADHD. I've also babysat for family members and friends. I am very involved in my local church and if faith is important to your family, I am more than happy to incorporate that into my care through prayer and Biblical encouragement. Also, I speak Spanish at an intermediate level.
