About Maria

I have a long history of child and elder care experience beginning at 13 and continuing through high school & beyond. I cared for my now deceased grandmother and feel very confident in my ability to provide compassionate and responsible care to an elder. I feel I can contribute a patient and steady presence for those who are in a slower season of life. As I have grown and matured, my appreciation and understanding of the aging has as well. I value them as vibrant members of our community who deserve respect and validation for their thoughts and needs. I would feel honored to be a part of creating a safe and affirming care environment. My active lifestyle of hiking, yoga and weight lifting enable me to assist with movement & any other physical needs that may arise. I am considering a career as a Montessori teacher in the next 3-4 yrs. During my free time I may work part time as nanny &/or montessori assistant. I currently live in Washington State and care for two dear children ages 1. 5 and 4. I will be moving to Marin in December & am looking forward to finding the right position!
