I care for my mom on a weekly basis. Taking her to her doctor appointments, shopping when the weather permits, going down by the river to feed the ducks or just to walk to get her out of the house and into the fresh air. When we can't get out, she crochets/knits lap blankets for a local nursing home and also hats for whomever. And lots of times we just sit and talk about things we did growing up. I'm passionate about this for very personal reasons concerning my dad. I wasn't able to get there on a regular basis when he wasn't at his best. He didnt want to go out and about. Sadly he passed away in 2019. My siblings and I are keeping mom active to avoid a slump. I love to be outdoors when the weather is nice so if you have a loved one who needs to get out, I'll be sure to take them out!
