About Madison

I am currently in nursing school hoping to get an associates degree. I am a CNA with Basic Life Support, CPR and Crisis-Prevention Intervention training. I previously graduated from NC State in 2018 with a bachelors in psychology. My relevant work experience includes Copestone of Mission Hospital in Asheville. Copestone is a six unit (previously eight) psychiatric section of Mission. The units vary in age (4 years of age to 65+) and acuity (mild to severe). While I was competent and extremely comfortable on every unit, I have called two units home in the 4. 5 years of my employment: the highest acute adult unit and adolescent. During clinical rotations and during my work experience, the elderly population has always been one of my favorite populations to work with. I achieve a sense of purpose being able to truly help care for this population by providing compassion, a listening ear, and assistance with tasks whether it be care tasks or simple tasks.
