As a CNA, Assisted with the needs of the patient under the general and direct supervision of a nurse. Assisted the patient with personal care, their mobility, turning & positioning, transferred patients to & from wheelchair, assist with ambulation, recorded vital signs, height, weight, input & output, collected specimens, Foley catheter care with aseptic technique and accu checks. Helped patient with nutritional needs, checked deliver food trays, assisted with feeding the patient if necessary and refilled water & ice. I assisted and maintained a clean, neat patient environment, clean off bed side and over bed tables. Prevented confused or suicide patient from falling, leaving the unit or pulling out IV or other tubing and from intentionally committing harm to self or others. Transported patients on a wheel chair to their car, when they were discharge.
