I assisted my mother-in-law, who was 80 and did not drive, with everyday household chores, errands and doctor's appointments for over a year before she went to a nursing home. I also attended to her needs once she was at the home. I took over all personal business for my precious mother, at her request, when she was hospitalized for 6 weeks before she passed away 3 years ago. I moved back into my childhood home to be near the hospital to be with her and attend to her every need. I enjoyed being with her and was blessed and honored to help her anyway I could.
