My name is Lisa, and I have worked in the home health field for 10 years and have a passion for person centered care meaning all aspects of care are geared for that specific individual whether it is assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, incontinent care, meal prep, and transferring, light housework) or finding out what brings joy to that person. If you give a person something to look forward to everyday life becomes more rewarding. Everyone has something that makes them happy: parks-museums-churches-sporting events-pets or working puzzles, bringing joy to people is what makes this job so rewarding! Most of my experiences have been with Alzheimer's patients, I enjoy working with them because I understand what Alzheimer s disease does to the brain so I also understand what they have left to work with. This is very important when creating a care plan for that person. Each person has life experiences that shape who they are and what brings them joy!

Lisa was the most important person to my friend for the last 3-4 years. She was my eyes and ears to what was happening with my friend's care especially during Covid. She engaged my friend in all sorts of activities in the community and later within the nursing facility to make sure her days were as rewarding as possible. For anyone looking at Lisa, your search should stop here! You will not find anyone who will do as much for your loved one and for you.
