I am an upbeat, caring person. I enjoy helping people and have a special place in my heart for senior adults. I have a bachelor's degree and I'm known to be reliable, trustworthy and a good problem solver. I helped care for my parents. My dad had Parkinson's and my mom suffered from the aftermath of a major stroke. Over the past 4 1/2 yrs, I developed a strong relationship with a senior and his family - providing companionship, assisting with daily activities, transporting to appts, etc. He had dementia, macular degeneration, and was wheelchair bound. I helped him transition from living independently to assisted living and finally to long term care. Unfortunately, he recently passed away. I understand how hard it can be to find that perfect person who can be trusted to care for your loved one. Whether they want to go shopping or just stay home and visit, I'd like to be that person for them and help put your family at ease! References available.
