About Leah

Hello! I am a graphic designer, artist, and musician, with a love for people. I have experience as a volunteer at a senior care home, working with dozens of people over the course of my time there. One of my fondest memories was playing the piano once a week for the residents and then hearing their stories about music afterwards. Another favorite was taking walks or sitting by the nearby lake and playing cards while connecting through conversation. Several folks had Alzheimer's or Dementia, both of which I feel confident in assisting with. Some took medicine at meal times which I ensured was taken care of. Some had special diets, which I also was monitoring. I am CPR certified. Through the months I was there, I saw several dear friends pass on- those moments changed my life... my passion of caring for elderly folks grew even stronger because I believe that everyone deserves to feel supported and taken care of by friendly people in their life.
