About Laurie

Currently, I care for an amputee learning to walk with a prosthesis, a 94-year-old living in her own home, and an Alzheimer's client in assisted living. Over the past four years, I was entrusted to care for an 89-year-old woman with Alzheimer's Dementia, a 96-year-old man who was severely arthritic, and a 90-year-old man with Lewy Body Dementia with Parkinson's symptoms. Duties included stimulating activities, companionship, navigating tech, assistance with toileting, showering, dressing, walking, PT, meds, and meal prep. Collaborated with family and physicians on care. Prior clients: Alzheimer's, multi-infarct dementia, stroke, and cancer. As a former chiropractor, I am knowledgeable regarding conditions, warning signs, PT/OT, meds, etc. I am gentle, and caring and am an animal lover, non-smoker, trustworthy, and cheerful.
