several years ago, about 5-6 years, I was working at starbucks. one of my regulars had come in one day asking if anyone would mind caring for her mother who was 97 years old, bedridden, Alzheimer's & dementia. I volunteered because I thought it was be nice to help her and I enjoy helping/caring for others. the responsibilities it came with were staying at her home from 6am-2 p.m. I would make sure had her food to eat, drank water, and administered morphine orally through a syringe. I logged the times I administered medicine. I also did small house tasks: clean dishes, sweep, bring the dogs in and out of the house for potty breaks, and fed them. She didn't talk a whole lot but I would go in her room and make conversation with her. my name is Kristina and she liked to call me Betty haha. I knew it was because of her health but she was good company. I did that for about 6-7 months until she passed.
