About Katie

I became certified as a Nurse's Aide during my senior year of high school, and I completed the 150 hours course through DMACC. I completed my clinicals in both nursing homes and hospitals. In the nursing homes, I spent most of my time caring for residents on the memory care portion of the home. At the hospital, I cared for a variety of patients, ranging from patients who had just had surgery to patients with physical and intellectual disabilities. Working with people and being able to provide care for those who need it is my passion in life.
