My wish for any senior is to stay home as long as possible out of a dependent living situation. In September I resigned my long-term job, bought a house, and moved across the state to Tahlequah, OK. I did this to help my mom transition from independent to dependent living. She is now settled, so I need to find work to pay my bills. Other experience I have come from caring for my husband with diabetes, gastric bypass surgery, and preparing his medications, post stroke activities and encouragement. I was a live-In companion for an elderly woman where I cooked and cleaned for her when I was starting college. About me: widowed, no kids, animal lover (have 3 rescue dogs and miniature chickens), 59 years old, nonsmoker, nondrinker, dependable, and quiet. I own a minivan that is easy in and out: perfect for appointments. Words that describe me: patient, empathetic, creative, and stable. I love to listen and talk, play games, watch TV, watch movies... be there to help however I can.
