About Katherine

I have a BS from Tulane where I studied cognitive science, linguistics, and philosophy, and I'm working on an MS in mental health & rehabilitation counseling. The scope of my work includes companionship, strengthening connections with friends & family, assisting allied health professionals, reinforcing therapeutic goals in fluid daily scenarios, environmental organization, facilitating communication among individual/family/clinicians, mobility assistance, hygiene, education, advocacy, team leadership, and transportation. Personally, I have a beloved relative with a debilitating neuropsychological disorder, and I cared for my mom who had ALS and dementia. These experiences have shown me firsthand how illness and injury affect oneself and one's family in both apparent and nuanced ways. Your (or your loved one's) needs, safety, autonomy, and well-being are my top priority, and I look forward to building long-term, caring relationships in my work.
