About Kara

Hello! My name is Kara. I'm a certified occupational therapist and new mom. I'm looking for a caregiver position where I can possibly bring my 3-month-old. I've been an OT for 7 years now, specializing in geriatrics/dementia. I have worked in skilled nursing as well as home health setting. I am a Certified Dementia Practitioner. I love my career, Sadly with daycare shortages & being a new mom I'm looking to merge my titles by caring for others while still caring for my daughter! Occupational Therapists help clients of all ages complete/re-learn/adapt their daily living tasks. Such as Bathing, Dressing, Toileting, Feeding, etc. You name it, OT address it. Another huge part of OT is getting clients back to daily life tasks they enjoy doing such as hobbies like playing cards, puzzles, painting, cooking:baking, outings, coloring, outdoor activities, etc. Occupational therapist also address balance, coordination, motor functions, as well as cognitive, vestibular and neurological issues.
