Came to interview for a caregiver role for my mother. I drove 5 hours to be at this interview with my dad because this was a difficult interview and conversation for our family. When I asked her to provide a reference, she gave one for someone that never responded to any requests. Even without the reference, I arranged a time for her to do a second interview, she canceled 15 minutes before this conversation. We arranged another call with her during a time she provided and said was best for her. The person doing the interview needed to leave work on both occasions to be in a place to speak. She not only didn't show up for the call but there was never any communication as to why. For anyone looking for a trustworthy caregiver, just be careful with who you trust. These are hard conversations.
