I closed an acupuncture practice where I specialized in pain management for 30 years. So I mostly treated older people, though many of working age. I got my nursing assistant license this January (CNA) and had worked for nine months at Stockstill House in Point Reyes with seniors unable to care for themselves. Also for nine months I have had a private client who lives at Atria in Novato and another disabled, elderly woman in Novato whom I work with weekly. I have excellent references to provide from each. I am highly conscientious and know how to connect with people to put them at ease. That was part of relating with people about to get needled. Also I have developed ability to connect with people with dementia. I am comfortable with hospice care, having read five books on the topic and having been working with a woman who passed, it is an area of special interest. I have experience following orders from physical therapists for assisting with exercises.
