My family and I have been in Durango for over 19 years and we LOVE it here! I try to be involved in the community as much as possible " giving back". I have worked as caregiver, mostly for seniors, and I also volunteer at the hospice house. It's an honor to care for people as they get closer to life's end. I am originally a trained chef and have worked all around the world. I was born in Australia. I have a great reputation in Durango, as an excellent caregiver, and mostly get my work through word of mouth. The one job I got through this site, sadly turned out very badly. Jill came into our home a year ago, to help with my husband, who had end stage Alzheimer's. She quickly became a beloved member of our family. Jill has an amazing attitude and filled our house with light, every time she came here. She is brilliant, kind, creative and knowledgeable about the whole end of life process. She managed, my dear husbands care team, to the end. It was graceful and respectful and we would have been lost without her. I highly recommend her and know she will continue to thrive, in this caring capacity, that she has chosen.
