About Jessie

Jessie was part of our family for nearly 12 years. She is one of the very best at what she does. We first met her while she was working for family friends and we got to see over time how pleasant and professional she was. A few weeks after Mom presented with stage 4 cancer, we found out that our family friend had passed, and we scooped Jessie up immediately. Mom died (at home, with dignity, due to Jessie's love and care) only a few months later. It was an easy decision that we should keep her on as caregiver/companion for Dad, they got along so well. He was at that point still fully independent, but we knew his Parkinson's would eventually progress and we knew we could never replace Jessie. Eleven years later Dad was debilitated and barely mobile; like Mom, he drew his last breath at home thanks to Jessie and the wonderful people from Hospice. I can tell you that every single day of those 12 years Jessie was a shining ray of caribbean sunshine in our lives. Thanks, Jess.
