I have been a homeschool mom for 12 years and have taught at 2 different homeschool cooperatives, assisted with our 4H club for 6 years, volunteered at AWANA club at our church for 2 years. I also help several time a year with Arms Wide Open respite care for special needs with our former church. I have volunteered with Interfaith Hospitality Network every year for approximately 7 years. Somehow between running my 4 kids to soccer, basketball and many other activities I have continued to work part time as a residential cleaner, about 10 years, and a caregiver 7 years. I worked with special needs residents as a caregiver in their homes for 5 years. More recently I have served as a caregiver to the elderly community, 2 years. I have experience with using a Hoyer lift, gait belt, and sit to stand, as well as assisted bathing, hygiene, medication reminders, meal preparation, and running errands. I have a perfect driving record. I have worked with individuals with dementia. Current STNA.

Jessica has worked with me for 10+ months helping me care for my mother who lived with us in our home. Mother was total care so Jessica assisted with transfers with a Hoyer lift, feeding, showers, laundry, and enrichment activities. She would read to mother or play music which Mother enjoyed. Jessica also did an excellent job of cleaning the house which was part of her job one day a week. If she had down time when Mother didn't need assistance she would clean or find another task that needed to be done. Because the caregivers were in our home while we were there the majority of the time, Jessica became a part of our family. She was very respectful of our personal space and our home. She was very thorough and efficient in her work. I would highly recommend her, she was a real blessing to us and Mother.
