I realize how difficult it can be to bring a stranger into your home to assist with care. Home care is so personal and you have to find the right fit. I take a holistic approach in the care I provide. Years of nursing experience makes me both competent and comfortable with memory care, diabetic care, G-tube/colostomy/catheter care, transfers, incontinence/peri care, bathing and proper skin care, surgical recovery, physical/occupational therapy implementation, plus more. I am organized, responsible, and well equipped to handle all the usual household tasks. I am knowledgeable with dietary/nutritional needs and am an excellent cook. I am very comfortable with medical personnel and can advocate on the client's behalf for medical appointments/communications. Emotional support is very important - I believe in promoting independence and decision making through listening and providing encouragement.
