About Janiyia

Despite not having as much experience as others in the field, my journey in caregiving began when I was just a young girl, assisting in the care of my grandmother. From bathing to providing a listening ear, I took on various responsibilities with love and dedication. Even at the age of 9, I would braid her hair, ensuring she felt comfortable and cared for. Although she passed away, my role continued with my second grandmother, who had Alzheimer's. I supported my father in caring for her until her final days in 2020. I find joy in the presence of older individuals, appreciating the wisdom they impart. Offering companionship and assistance brings me fulfillment. As a mother myself, I comprehend the needs of individuals across all ages. Recognizing that aging can sometimes evoke a childlike state, I believe in extending love and support to those in need.
