About Jane

I was the caregiver for my mother when she was aging and ill. I helped her with errands such as food shopping and accompanied her to doctors' appointments while she resided in New York City, until she was incapable of living alone. I then brought her to live with me in CT where I took care of her with the help of an assistant nurse. Helping my mother was an invaluable experience for me. It was very rewarding and a way for me to "give back". I want to be a sort of "daughter for hire" for others whose children may be too busy with their own lives to give the attention that their elderly parents need. I have empathy and compassion for these people - both the children and the elderly. And of course there are those who do not have family and need not only physical help, but kindness and compassion as well.
