My medical training began at Morristown Memorial Hospital (Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, NJ) in 1973 as a medical-surgical technician. I have worked as a nursing assistant in Hawaii and Europe. In my more recent role, I provided long-term care to an individual who succumbed to a traumatic brain injury. My medical and caregiving experiences encompassed multiple years of caring for special needs persons (quadriplegia, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy), bathing, dressing, meal preparation, feeding, overseeing medication intake, exercise assistance, and transportation to doctor's appointments. Being a companion, in addition to practical caregiving and nursing skills, was often a critical and rewarding aspect of my employment. Meal preparation, serving of meals, and lite-housekeeping were often a part of my daily routines. Recent and past references and employment documentation are available upon request.
