Interviewed Irene on Wednesday spending full hour on the phone learning about her and sharing needs for care. We agreed to wage of $23/hour and 30 hours weekly she wanted. We scheduled time for Irene to meet my mom Saturday at our home around 11:30 or 12:30. We also agreed I would text and confirm time and asked for 2 references. We were super excited to meet her and have her start Monday! Then completely blindsided when I texted to confirm time on Saturday, only to find out that she had taken another job. No courtesy call! No text! No message on Care.com. Full transparency would have meant a lot. Especially from someone who has 4 years experience.
