I was raised to respect my elders and I was lucky enough to know all of my grandparents and some of my great grandparents. I cherish my memories of them and some of my most cherished memories are when I moved in with my great grandmother for a summer to help care for her. She was in her 90's at the time and didn't drive, so I ran all of her errands for her. I helped her bathe, cooked her meals, cleaned her apartment, and after dinner, we either curled up in chairs and read our books or we played board games together. I did work as a CNA in college, 2003-2005, but I've let it lapse since then. I just truly enjoy being around the elderly and caring for others gives me a sense of purpose.
