About Gretchen

I have spent the past three years taking care of a woman that suffers with dementia. When she was in her home, I helped with cleaning, laundry, and errands. I would cut her hair, paint her nails, and help with crafts. I did not bathe her, but I would sit with her while she took her bath. I would help her call and write to family members. She recently moved an hour away to a facility that offers memory care services. I'd describe my personality as helpful caring and loyal. I like caring for seniors because I love people, and enjoy helping others. I'm looking for a job that can be flexible. I started caring for seniors most recently when the state of Michigan opened up after the Covid quarantine. Off and on, though, I have cared for several seniors over the past 20 years. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and friends. One thing you should know about me is I genuinely care about others. My skills include patience, cleaning and companionship.
