After graduating school I worked over 20 years in a state hospital on surgical, internal, diagnostic wards and ran CT lab. My last place of work was at a nursing home in Northern Ireland for about 11 years, where I was a Registered Care Assistant. My responsibilities consisted of assisting patient at bed time ( bathing & bathroom functions) feeding, repositioning during the night, dressing change, controlling temperature and blood pressure. Whole my life I cared for people, and my family often says, "it is in my blood to help others".

My Mom had a difficult personality, and I went through over FIFTY aides before "Ela" came into our lives! After my Mom went through her trial period with Ela, she said, "This one, I will keep!" Upon meeting Ela, her QUALITY is evident. Because she is a nurse, Ela handled my Mom's care and meds with expertise. She was with my Mom for over four years and my Mom felt completely safe and comfortable under her care. Ela was very pro-active, and went to great lengths to ensure my Mom received the very best of care, making suggestions on everything from personal care, to meals that met my Mom's dietary requirements and yet were still enjoyable. She vigilantly observed my Mom symptoms and behavior, and alerted us when she felt my Mom needed medical attention and diagnosis. If you want to make your aging parent situation easier, please do yourself a favor and hire Ela. You will immediately realize your loved one is in the best of hands, and a huge weight will be lifted from your mind!!
