About Ed

My experiences caring for my elderly neighbor(Female)who has no family; began after 20 yrs of friendship, over the past 8 years I have progressed from providing transportation to dr. Helping with care of her home, and personal affairs to having her live in our home when dementia no longer allowed her the ability to care for her home and herself. I progressed to daily personal care, preparation of meals, shopping, dr visit oversight as health proxy, and daily interaction. I did enjoy making sure my friend was comfortable and stimulated with books and conversations. I realized the great need for the elderly to have a friend and caregiver especially when families are unable. Currently, I have relocated to Latrobe Pennsylvania and have seen a great need for elder care. It is a privilege to provide care, good nutrition, encouragement to the elderly. I believe it is part of my personal christian mission to care for less fortunate... especially the widow or widower.
