Hello I'm Dorothy. I have 10+ years experience working with elders in their homes providing private care. I am extremely reliable, friendly and punctual. I was a CNA in Georgia and then attended nursing school in Tampa. After starting a family, I decided to work as a assistant teacher for the last few years at a private school in Windermere. It allowed me time with my kids as well as a flexible schedule but my heart is in caring for seniors. During the pandemic I decided to go back to senior care, doing private in home care. I worked for two wonderful clients in Keens Point and the Windermere/Independance area, up until a few months ago. I'm hoping to find a client/family who needs my services, companionship and care. Dorothy was absolutely wonderful with taking care of my mother who has dementia while I was at work. It can be challenging dealing with someone who has dementia as you never know from day to day what you are going to be dealing with. During challenging times she would reach out to see how we could make the situation better and adapt to make my mom more comfortable with her being there. Dorothy would also assist with various things such as running errands, doing laundry and lite cleaning. Even as my mom transitioned into a memory care facility Dorothy has stayed on to spend a few hours with her each week as a familiar face. Dorothy is reliable, trust worthy and has a heart of gold, you can truly tell that caring for people is not just a job for her but a passion.
