I worked with my grandma 2-3 days a week, helping manage her medication intake, meal prep, errands and taking her to and from appointments for about a year. Her dementia symptoms became more prevalent as time went on which lead to a higher amount of supervision, making sure meals and medications were taken at the right time and familiar activities were done when she was confused to help compensate for any frustration she was feeling.
