I've been a long time friends and family caregiver and have a soft place for our elderly ones. It started at 10 yrs old when my parents took in one of my Grandfathers. I helped him eat, played cards, brushed his hair, cleaned dentures, etc. I've just ALWAYS had a special way with those much older than me. I presently care for a friend that's alone and needs personal & medical care of ALL SORTS, PRN. I recertified my BLS & 1st Aid thru the AHA in case of an emergency. Caring for those on oxygen, special diets, med dosages, home needs, transport needs, just about anything, I've done for 25+ yrs. Most, not PAID as a career, as I also worked FT, but also in the medical field, but still gave 100% and with kindness, love, patience and dignity.
