About Chimere

I am a caregiver by nature. I have over 10 years of customer service experience working with a diverse population. I started caregiving when I was young; caring for my own grandparents. Since then, I have completed coursework and externships for a medical assistant program. Trained as a nurse in a private family health practice and part time first responder. My caregiving history includes ALZ/Dementia care, Fragile Type 1 diabetes management, Type 2 diabetes, epilepsy, congestive heart failure, kidney failure, and AMD eye management. I am proficient in finger sticks, CGM maintenance, daily insulin injections, carb counting, medication management, meal preparations, and transportation to and from appointments. I can provide companionship and the creative communication skills for helping individuals with dementia perform and assist with ADL's. I have knowledge of area hospitals and senior centers. I also know medical terminology and am working on getting first aid and CPR certification.
