About Carson

Hello, my name is Carson I am a 23-year-old married woman; this past year, I was a nanny for a2-year-old child. During the nights, it was a different story. My mother-in-law had stage 4 cancer, so my husband and I learned a lot about end-of-life care through that experience. Over the 14 months we spent caring for her, I learned how to clean and operate a feeding tube, administer medicine through a feeding tube and how to make it softer to be swallowed in food, use an oxygen machine, refill oxygen tanks for transport, replace tubing on an oxygen machine, administer red light therapy, and how to position a person with bed source. I spent much time running errands to the pharmacy and going to hospitals for procedures. I continued to work as a nanny for several months after her passing, but after experiencing taking care of an adults I would love to make a change and work for someone with more health needs.
